Privacy International, LLP, provides Privacy, Information Governance and Data Protection Consulting Services (“Service’) and is a US firm which is committed to protecting the privacy of our customer’s and client’s personal data/information. This privacy statement explains how personal data/information is processed when you use this site or when our services are provided.
By submitting any personal data/information, you agree to the use by Privacy International, LLP ("PILLP") of such data in accordance with this Privacy Statement.
DEFINITIONS
Customer or Client: a legal entity with whom PILLP has an agreement to provide the Services and may be a Controller/Business or a Processor/Service Provider of Personal Data/Information
Controller/Business: the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data/information
Personal Data/Information: any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person
Processor/Service Provider: a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which processes personal data/information on behalf of the controller/business
Third Party: a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or body other than the data subject, controller/business, processor/service provider and persons who, under the direct authority of the controller/business or processor/service provider, are authorized to process personal data/information
DATA PROCESSING
PILLP collects only personal data/information that is specifically and voluntarily provided by visitors to PILLP website, which may include: name, job title, and company name, address, email address, telephone and fax numbers for the purposes of account creation, provisioning of services, billing, and marketing.
These data types and processing activities are governed by this Privacy Statement. Data that is not related to an identified or identifiable natural person, including aggregated or de-identified data, is not personal data/information and is not addressed by this document. Visitors are also able to send email through the site. Their messages will contain the user's name and email address, as well as any additional information the visitor may wish to include in the message. PILLP intention is not to seek any sensitive information through our website unless legally required.
PILLP Services are not directed to children under 16.
Purposes for Processing
PILLP processes the personal data/information types outlined above for the following purposes:
COOKIES AND LOG FILES
Cookies may be used on some pages of our site. "Cookies" are small text files placed on your hard drive that assist us in providing a more customized website experience. For example, a cookie can be used to store contact us information. It is PILLP policy to use cookies to make navigation of our websites easier for visitors and to facilitate efficient communications to you. Site statistics are compiled by third parties and therefore your IP address will be passed to third parties for statistical reporting only.

In most cases, a visitor may refuse a cookie and still fully navigate our websites, however other functionality in the site may be impaired. The Networking Advertising Initiative (NAI) has a tool that lets you opt-out of several third-party ad servers' and networks' cookies simultaneously. The tool will not block ads. It will only prevent the ads that appear on your computer from being selected based on the ad server's analysis of cookies on your computer. This opt-out itself relies on cookies. That means that you will have to opt-out again if you delete cookies, change browsers, or buy a new computer.
THIRD PARTIES
Personal data/information collected by PILLP may be transferred for the purposes for which the visitor has submitted the information and for the administration of our system or site and/or other internal, administrative purposes. By submitting data on PILLP website, the visitor is providing explicit consent to the transfer of such data for the fulfillment of his or her voluntary requests.
PRIVACY PROGRAM
PILLP maintains a managed privacy program to identify risks and implement preventative measures. The Managing Officer, is responsible for managing the privacy program. The privacy program is reviewed on a regular basis to provide for continued effectiveness.
Personal data/information collected and processed by PILLP is governed by the PILLP Data Privacy Policy. Employees with access to personal data/information are trained on the Policy and their responsibility to protect the data.
DATA RETENTION
The personal data/information you submit to us will only be retained for as long as is required for the purposes for which it was collected. Contact information about visitors such as mailing list information is kept until a user unsubscribes or requests that we delete that information.
UNSUBSCRIBE
Should visitors subsequently choose to unsubscribe from mailing lists or any registrations, we will provide instructions within the appropriate website area or in communications to our visitors; or a visitor may contact, privacy@privacy-internationallp.com
DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION
In the event that PILLP becomes aware of any unauthorized access to or disclosure of personal data/information, PILLP will promptly notify affected Customers or Clients to the extent such notification is permitted by applicable law.
SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
There are times when information described in this privacy statement may be shared by PILLP. This section discusses how PILLP may share such information. Customers or Clients determine their own policies for the sharing and disclosure.
PILLP reserves the right to disclose or use aggregate or de-identified information for any purpose. For example, we may share aggregated or de-identified information with our partners or others for business or research purposes.
COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS
PILLP may share or disclose data to comply with legal or regulatory requirements and to respond to lawful requests, court orders and legal process.
CHANGES TO BUSINESS STRUCTURE
PILLP may share or disclosed data if we engage in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, reorganization, sale of some or all of PILLP’s assets, financing, acquisition of all or a portion of our business, a similar transaction or proceeding, or steps in contemplation of such activities (e.g., due diligence).
DATA SUBJECT OR INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS
PILLP acts as a data processor on behalf of Customers and Clients. Customers and Clients have primary responsibility for interacting with data subjects or individuals, and the role of PILLP is generally limited to assisting Customers or Clients as needed.
HANDLING OF COMPLAINTS
Data subjects or individuals may lodge a complaint about processing of their respective personal data/information by contacting the relevant Customer, Client or the PILLP at the email address privacy@privacy-internationallp.com. PILLP shall promptly communicate the complaint to the Customer or Client to whom the personal data/information relates.
REGULATORY INQUIRIES AND COMPLAINTS
PILLP shall, to the extent legally permitted, promptly notify a Customer or Client if it receives an inquiry or complaint from a data protection authority in which that Customer or Client is specifically named. Upon a Customer’s or Client’s request, PILLP shall provide the Customer or Client with cooperation and assistance in relation to any regulatory inquiry or complaint involving PILLP’s processing of personal data/information.
SECURITY
PILLP has implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security in order to protect personal data from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction. Only authorized PILLP personnel are provided access to personal data and these employees have agreed to maintain the confidentiality of this information.
CHILDREN
PILLP understands the importance of protecting children's privacy, PILLP sites covered by this privacy notice are not intentionally designed for or directed at children under the age of 16 years. It is PILLP policy never to knowingly collect or maintain personal information about children under the age of 16.
MODIFICATIONS
PILLP may update this notice at any time by publishing an updated version here. You can access the most current version of this privacy statement at any time on this site.
